Opening of the academic year
Please note in your calendar: on 14 September from 4 to 5 PM we will open the new academic year. In TivoliVredenburg, our Executive Board will discuss the theme 'Room for the horizon' with various guests from within and outside HKU.

Our students offer significance for the world of tomorrow and contribute to transitions in society. This way, they create room for the horizon. We all recognize the longing for perspective in these turbulent times. During the opening of the academic year, we will discuss this issue and the role we play as HKU in shaping the world of tomorrow.

Guests include Martijn Paulen (director of Dutch Design Week) and harpist Remy van Kesteren (alumni of HKU). Music is by MEERKAT, fouded by alumni of HKU Utrechts Conservatorium.
