Geistliches Consort is a young musical ensemble consisting of mezzo-soprano Lisa Bunt, bass Timon van Velzen, baroque trombonist Maurits Willemsen and organist-continuo player Maurits Bunt. In recent years, the four musicians have discovered what great music history has brought us. Even before Bach, Mozart and Beethoven. Forgotten gems! Geistliches Consort believes that precisely in the 21st century, this music is very expressive.

Especially for these two concerts, Geistliches Consort has made a beautiful and impressive selection from the German Christmas music of composers Michael Praetorius and Heinrich Schütz. Audiences can enjoy - and sing along with - well-known hymns such as 'Puer natus in Bethlehem' and 'Vom Himmel Hoch da komm ich her'. For the occasion, a number of fantastic guest musicians complement the ensemble: soprano Nanette Mans, cornettist-flautist Alma Mayer and trombonist Matthijs van der Moolen.
