Tomillo Collective is a Utrecht-based septet that brings together world music and jazz in a unique way.

The band is formed by a jazz quartet,and a string trio, which allows the creation of exotic textures and a blend between the classical and the modern approach to music, Their show is a celebration of multiculturalism and conveys a great emotional depth.

Tomillo Collective incorporates elements of various styles such as flamenco, afrobeat, arabesque or soul into their compositions, with influences that cover a wide range of composers, from J.S.Bach to Frank Zappa or Ibrahim Maalouf.

In 2025, the band toured Spain twice, performing at several jazz festivals such as Festival Internacional de Palencia and Festival de Jazz de Lugo. These tours marked an important step in establishing Tomillo Collective on the international jazz and world music scene.

Their debut album, One Life, was released in March 2025 and reflects the band’s eclectic musical identity. They are currently working on their second album, to be recorded in 2026.
