Application and admission

Already decided which study programme you want to do at HKU? Here you can read how to apply for our various programmes. Will we see you in the next year?

Applications for the academic year 2027 - 2028 can be submitted as of 1 October 2026.

Admissions are planned at a date that is yet to be decided. You will be informed of this after your application.

Application deadlines

If we receive your application before 15 January 2027, we guarantee you a place in the admissions procedure. Applications received after 15 January will be processed based on availability.

Can you still apply?

Some programmes at HKU are very popular or offer a limited number of places. Once the programme or admissions procedure has reached the maximum number of places, we can no longer include your application in the admissions procedure. To find out whether there are still places available, check the application and admission information on the webpage of the programme of your choice.
