HKU and the mansion of Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd
HKU is at the heart of society and can be clearly seen in and around Utrecht. The partners we involve in our education, and to which we connect our students during their studies, are important to prepare our students for the professional practice. The Amelisweerd Mansion is one of the project partners that enables us to do so.

Partnership

Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd (LOA) and HKU organise a collaboration project or exhibition twice every year, to the benefit of the education of HKU students. Additionally, all our students have free access to the mansion.

About LOA

The ‘Mansion of Old Amelisweerd’, with its Coach House and park, is one of the most remarkable State Monuments in the Netherlands. Built in 1770, the mansion offers individual creators and organisations a space to present various exhibitions and art programmes to a diverse audience. LOA is an inspiring site for young creators of HKU, where students, alumni and professors realise lots of interesting cooperative projects.

For more information about this project, visit the LOA website (in Dutch) or contact Jitkse Hirs.
