You have applied to enrol for one of the courses at HKU. Information about what you can expect from HKU and what HKU expects of you regarding communication about your admission is given below.

HKU Academic and Student Affairs

All communication concerning the application and admission procedure takes place through HKU Academic and Student Affairs.

Keep checking your e-mail!

HKU Academic and Student Affairs communicates by e-mail, unless stated otherwise. So it’s important that your e-mail address is correct. You can make any necessary changes through Studielink.

NB: messages sent to a @live.nl, @hotmail.com/hotmail.nl or @outlook.com account may end up in the spam box. We advise you to use an e-mail address with another mail extension.

• We expect you to check your e-mail regularly. And don’t forget to check whether a message has accidentally ended up in your spam box.

• Messages about your admission are also sent to your Studielink account.

• If your e-mail address bounces (so cannot be delivered), HKU Academic and Student Affairs contacts you about this.

• Also make sure your postal address is always up-to-date. You can make any necessary changes through Studielink.

Information from HKU Academic and Student Affairs

• HKU Academic and Student Affairs informs you of all matters concerning the application and admission procedure, as well as your definitive placement/rejection. Agreements or commitments from other parties are therefore not valid. These include statements about personal/prior education verification and about whether or not the prior education requirements have been met.

• Throughout the application and admission procedure, HKU Academic and Student Affairs acts by order and on behalf of the Executive Board, while complying with the legal conditions regarding application and admission.

• HKU Academic and Student Affairs sends you a confirmation of receipt within 10 working days. If you have not received confirmation by then, contact the Service Desk Student Affairs as soon as possible.
