HKU starts the new academic year smoke-free

As of this academic year, it is prohibited to smoke in and around our buildings. This means that there are no smoking areas inside and there is a smoke-free zone outside that is indicated by signs, tiles and banners. The measures are a legal obligation of the national government, but we also regard it as our social task to strive for a smoke-free generation (in Dutch).

We ensure that the HKU locations are and remain smoke-free. But also feel free to talk to each other about it if smoking is done in places where this is not allowed.
