HKU Exposure

Exposure is HKU’s graduation festival. From 24 to 28 June 2026 our fresh graduates from all art disciplines proudly displayed their works at various locations across Utrecht. Due to the persistent heat, we were forced to adjust the programming for this edition. And thus, the best is yet to come: on Friday 3 July (11.00 - 21.00) and Saturday 4 July (11.00 - 19.00) the graduation works of HKU Media can be enjoyed at location Oudenoord.

HKU Exposure

HKU Exposure is a dazzling festival with art of all disciplines, from fine art to games, from design to film, and from music to theatre. Hundreds of young creative talents present their work to the general public across the heart of Utrecht. Work that comments on the world of today, and incites conversation. That literally speaks to the imagination and invites you to contemplate. Be surprised and amazed by the new ideas, perspectives and narratives that these graduates present, at various locations across the city.

Programme

HKU consists of nine academies, each with its own unique study programmes and graduates. Click below to see per academy what our graduates have created and where it can be seen.

Across the city

HKU graduates present at HKU locations such as Pastoe Fabriek and HKU Oudenoord, but also at unexpected venues throughout the city, including De Nijverheid, Stadsklooster, Werkspoorfabriek and Bibliotheek Neude.

Be sure to visit one of the many Exposure Specials as well. HKU students showcase their work at cultural venues and local businesses across the city centre, from Centraal Museum and Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd to HEMA and De Bijenkorf.

Exposure locations and accessibility

The programme includes detailed information about all Exposure locations. Most venues are located in Utrecht and are easily accessible by public transport and/or bicycle, including OV-fiets rental bikes.
