Utrecht Pride - want to hop on board?

On Saturday 1 June, Utrecht Pride is back again. Do you want to jump on board of the canal boat of HKU and UvH? You can register here!
Utrecht Pride - want to hop on board?

During this year’s edition of Utrecht Pride, HKU is represented during the boat parade! Utrecht Pride is meant to increase the visibility of the LHBTIQ+ community. And HKU wants to contribute to this goal. We do this together with our partner: the University of Humanistic Studies. As a duo, we requested to participate in the boat parade, and were chosen! That means HKU and UvH will be sharing one boat, traversing the canals in the centre of Utrecht, in celebration of love in all its diverse forms.

P.S.: Are you not getting on board, but do want to enjoy pride (and our boat) with other HKU students and staff along the banks of the canals? You can come to our meeting point! In Park Paardenveld (right in front of the Nieuwekade HKU site) we can get together around 13 PM. Will we meet you there?

Registration
If you do want to step on the boat: you are very welcome! Register here below and we will try to find a spot for you. Registration is possible until 15 May. You will receive a confirmation of your registration on the email address you submitted. In the week after 15 May, you will hear whether you have been selected. Before you fill in the registration form, please read the following information first.

  • The boat has 39 spots reserved for HKU students and staff. The other 39 are reserved for students and staff at UvH.
  • Both students and staff members can join on board. We have 29 spots for students and 10 for staff.
  • You can also register as duo.
  • When there are more applications than available spots, the spots will be assigned through random selection. Selection will be done per school. The number of available spots per school is in proportion to the total number of students.
  • By registering, you agree to participate in the collective concept of UvH and HKU. This is to express the message behind our concept as strongly as possible. The exact details of this concept will be briefed to you later.
Your duo partner should not register separately, to avoid that you are split apart in the selection.
