Curious about the graduation movies of students from HKU University of the Arts? Come and see them at HKU Blikvangers (‘Eyecatchers’) during the Netherlands Film Festival! On Wednesday 27 September, our graduates show their works in the Louis Hartloopercomplex in Utrecht. There are many works to admire from the new cohort of movie and animation talents.

HKU graduation movies at Netherlands Film Festival

The NFF and HKU offer you a nice programme during Blikvangers, where you can not only see the movies, but attend Q&A meetings with the creators as well. The programme is interesting for people working in the movie industry, but anyone is welcome to enjoy this day. The graduation works are finished in mid-September, so you can be among the first to discover what these young and new directors have to show for!

HKU’s film makers and animators regularly win awards. With earlier editions of the NFF, several graduate movies were awarded, and our alumni also contend in international high-level competitions. And it’s not just our students who create award-winning movies; some of our teachers also received the prestigious Dutch movie prize Golden Calf for their works. In short: visiting Blikvangers is definitely worth your time.
