Last Saturday, HKU sailed among the boat parade of Utrecht Pride with the motto Art Connects. 🏳️🌈
Especially in these times of polarisation, connection is important. And art can do just that: it brings people together. Our students and staff members stood out brightly on the boat and coloured the canals of Utrecht in all the colours of the rainbow. Because we believe that love wins, always!
We hereby thank everyone who joined us in the celebrations! With special thanks to drag queen Trasha Roses for the amazing energy, rap formation Keukengerei for their party-starting lyrics, DJ Husc for the tasty beats, and theatre students Daan, Hannah, Pepijn, Dorus, Alex and Veer for decorating the boat with their unique underwater theme
