From 27 September to 11 October, the Art Lending Centre (Kunstuitleen) Utrecht presents JONG25. This exhibition offers a unique chance to get a view of six of the recently graduatated students of Fine Art and Fine Art and Design in Education.

HKU is among the biggest art academies of Europe, delivering a whole new generation of artists, each year again, who are ready and eager to claim their position in the cultural landscape. With JONG25 Kunstuitleen Utrecht wants to gather this talent in one spot and connect them to the city, hosting a meeting between young artists and the wider audience.

Five young painters; Dieuwke Jollema Gorter, Anthony Chiou, Mika Scheepsma, Julia van Dijck and Pargol Tavakoli Shirazi, show how they use their work to reflect upon themselves, their environment and their background. Their paintings vary between intimate personal depictions or engaged reflections on the outside world.

In addition to these paintings, Florentien Stikkelorum is presenting a spatial artwork in which the spectator is invited to not simply look at art, but experience it as an interaction.
