Vocal students Jazz & Pop and a close harmony group present a not-so-traditional repertoire, along with their own compositions

No instrument expresses human emotions more directly than the human voice, which explains why it can make an incomparable impact. It’s what makes a performance by a close harmony group so unique.

Jazz & Pop vocalists from HKU Utrechts Conservatorium come together in the close harmony group HKU Voices. This fall, the group consists of third- and fourth-year Jazz & Pop students. Under directions by vocalist, band leader and alumnus Marit van der Lei, they will present a ‘not-so-traditional’ repertoire with modern pieces by Caroline Shaw, circle songs and Bulgarian music.

To complete the event, several Jazz & Pop vocalists will also perform their own music. Be prepared for a beautiful ‘vocal evening’!
