Two dazzling big band concerts

HKU Bigband, founded ten years ago by enthusiastic Jazz & Pop students, does several concert series per year, often with national or international guest soloists. This fall, the guests are saxophone players Marc Scholten and Toon Roos, both teaching at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. Band leader is Nils van Haften, a great sax player himself who once played with HKU Bigband in Bimhuis.

HKU Bigband plays the favorites of Marc Scholten and Toon Roos and can be heard twice this weekend, on 3 and 4 December:
