Please note: seats are no longer available for the closing presentation in the Fentener van Vlissingenzaal (K&W building, Mariaplaats 27). Still want to watch the presentation? You can do so with our livestream. In the small room (K108) of the K&W building, we will provide a big-screen broadcast. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk to participating students.
*****
During the ODM Choir Week, third-year students of Music in Education embark on a week of working with various choirs. Each student gives musical direction to one choir, selecting their own repertoire for conducting the repetitions and final presentation on Friday 27 January. Each choir consists of members of the ODM choir (including all the (about) 65 students of Music in Education, along with the preparatory course), complemented by 72 pupils of three secondary schools (Cals College, St. Bonifatiuscollege and Jordan Montessori Lyceum Utrecht) and students of the Marnix Academie.
Final presentation
The ODM Choir Week ends with a final presentation on Friday 27 January in the Fentener van Vlisingenzaal. All participating choirs present their own repertoire. You can expect jazz, pop, and choir hits from the classical repertoire across the whole world. The choirs also present several pieces in commune, with teacher Servaas Schreuders as conductor. That means a total of 130 voices filling the room; something you definitely don’t hear every day!
Livestream
Due to the large number of participants, we expect a large public audience as well. For this reason, it won’t be possible to enjoy the concert on-site. We do offer the possibility of joining the livestream, however.
