Executive Board

HKU’s administrative management is carried out by the Executive Board. As of 1 January 2026, the Executive Board consists of Gaby Allard (Chair) and Simon van Damme (Member).

Members

The Executive Board (CvB) is formed by Gaby Allard (Chair) and Simon van Damme (Member).

Tasks

The Executive Board manages:

  • The directors of the academies
  • The expertise centres and professorships
  • The directors of the supporting organisation
  • The secretary/director of the Executive Board Office

The members of the board are each responsible for a number of designated focus areas. They also form the point of contact for the management of these organisational units.

The board is jointly responsible for the management and administration of HKU.
