Face mask mandatory in HKU buildings

  • 01 december 2020
From 1 December, wearing a face mask is mandatory in all public indoor spaces in the country. This includes HKU locations.
Face mask mandatory in HKU buildings

Wearing a face mask is now mandatory in all public areas at HKU like entrances, corridors, canteens and some locations such as workspaces. Masks may be removed during classes where everyone has a permanent seat or standing place, except when a lecturer or staff member has asked you to wear it. At some HKU locations, corona coaches will kindly remind you to comply with the measures. Not wearing a face mask unfortunately means you cannot be present in our buildings.

Physical education is essential for HKU students. Within the rules set for us by the national government, we do our utmost every day to provide education in our buildings. We respect the rules of distance and hygiene regulations and invite each other to point out when this accidentally does not happen.
