About HKU Press

HKU Press is part of HKU. It is an imprint (publishing house) of International Theatre and Film Books (ITFB). The publications are produced solely from research by professors, makers and other practical researchers at HKU. They are intended for students and lecturers, for our professional field and for other interested parties. As art research is often conducted internationally, we often publish in English as well as in Dutch.

Our Mission

The goal of HKU Press is to draw attention to the results of HKU research, in order to reinforce HKU’s education and research. HKU thereby aims to contribute to the development of practice-based research in the arts. HKU’s research focuses on creative processes and is relevant to society. We encourage collaboration between education and research, and share innovations and research results with the professional field.

How to order

You can order the publications on these pages. Books ordered before Tuesday 20 December 2022 3 p.m. will still be shipped. Books ordered after that date will be shipped again from Tuesday 10 January 2023.

The book prices on this page include postage within the Netherlands. Please contact us if:

  • you wish the books to be sent abroad.
  • you wish to order more than two books.
