The works by Dimitar Genchev deal with the typical Bulgarian daily life;
family dinners, dressed up girlfriend, pottery still life and tourists at the Black Sea. Always painted in a skilled sensitive way with a great feeling for nostalgia and sentiment. He is able to show his personal attachments in a typical painterly way. The works convince in their presence; the paintings are built on an experimental approach with a great knowledge of the tradition of painting.

Dimitar is a promising ambitious painter who worked for three years at the HKU and is now, already half a year, a resident at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. We wish you all best over there in Amsterdam and in your future career.
