This year, Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) celebrates it’s twenty-fifth anniversary. All the more reason to reflect on the past, present and future of HKU and the arts.
During the anniversary year, a large number of activities are organized to celebrate. The anniversary year ends on December 12, 2012 with a party for students and staff.

On www.hku-sinds1987.nl there is almost every day something new to find, like photos from the archives of the HKU, interviews and of course all the activities in this jubilee year.
About the HKU
Utrecht School of the Arts started in January 1987 as a merger between The Academy of Fine Arts, the Conservatory of Utrecht, The Academy for Expression by Word and Gesture, The Dutch Institute for Church Music and the Dutch Carillon School.
After the merger, the developments at HKU gone rapidly. Nowadays, HKU is - with nearly 4,000 students, five faculties and a large variety of Bachelor's and Master's and postgraduate programs and courses - one of the largest arts and culture-oriented training institutes in Europe.
