Master of Arts in Fine Art

Fine Art opens windows on the visual world while mapping a broad spectrum of phenomena and attitudes connected to that visual world - and to life itself. Besides traditional fine art forms such as painting, sculpture, and photography, the programme focuses on many transmedial forms of visual expression. These include media art, the exploration of social/urban environments, and the construction of visual knowledge.

Programme

As a MA Fine Art student you will engage in:
• research-based work
• interdisciplinary seminars with all MaHKU disciplines
• professional skills such as presentation of both visual an theoretical work
• a topical theoretical discourse relevant to the broad spectrum of the visual world
• studio-based practice
• seminars with international artists and curators
• seminars with students from art academies across Europe
• seminars in the context of international biennales
