HKU lecturer Hans Leeuw has won the Margaret Guthman Competition for New Musical Instruments (Atlanta, USA). His invention - the electrumpet - is an extension of a conventional trumpet and is provided with sensors and computer technology.

HKU alumni win Time Capsule Award and Audience Award at the Imagine Film Festival, EYE Amsterdam

The first awards were handed out yesterday at Imagine Film Festival in EYE Amsterdam, including the Time Capsule Award for the online trailer Monsterpop by HKU alumnus Boriz Baatsen and his team. The public voted with for Tree of Life by the Heyl Brothers.
