Come and see students of HKU Design present their projects at Ventura Lambrate.
Anonymous will be first presented at the Milan design week. You can find us at Ventura Lambrate at the HKU stand. We try to give a reaction to the growing privacy issues that go hand in hand with technology developments. What defines our identity? And how do we protect it? By questioning the role of our personal belongings we reveal a new way of owning. By questioning our offline and online privacy we search for new ways to protect us from manipulation.
Society increasingly looks to designers to cope with everyday issues, both to reflect and propose creative solutions. These designs need to transcend traditional boundaries between disciplines and between designer and client to have a lasting impact. Students of HKU Design prepare themselves for working in these dynamic environments by constantly taking on new roles and rethinking contexts.
Is privacy just for those with something to hide?
By allowing the use of our information we open ourselves to manipulation.
How can we capture and preserve the essence of our most personal belongings?
By cherishing them, destroying them and cursing them, we reveal a new way of owning.
